Testimonial – Douglas Picard

I’ve known Carson for over 2 years, and in this time, he has provided me and countless others with sound running advice and support from the fitness site on which we met. Anytime I had a question, he had an answer, supported with the science and academics to make it understandable.  When he started a formal coaching endeavor (myself and others had been asking him to do this for quite some time), I signed up immediately. I had a half marathon recovery and a full marathon build up that I was a little shaky on, so it was perfect timing. He guided me to a half marathon PR of 6 minutes (1:34 to 1:28) and a marathon PR of 11 minutes (3:30 to 3:19). He has a conservative, Lydiard approach to running – you won’t be doing “run less, run faster” training, but rather targeted work geared toward your distance, supported by easy mileage. I’m working harder now because I’m working smarter, I’m progressing at a great pace, and I’m injury free.
