I was lucky to come to know Carson a couple of years ago in a running forum. Amazed at his progress, I started quietly soliciting his advice, as did most other people on the site. When I found out he started offering training, I jumped on it. His plan lean towards a conservative approach, with lots of on easy base mileage, and targeted workouts to sharpen the areas that need it. End result a great balance of enjoyable easy mileage, with challenging speedwork to drive gains. I had been stuck in the upper 21-minute 5K range for couple of years, and with only 2 months training with Carson, I was able to shave nearly a minute off that time. Having worked with another well-known coach previously, I couldn’t be happier. I look forward to continuing training with Carson as I hope to continue to improve my times.
